Austrian activists got in the way of a battue
18./19th November 2005
On the 18th and 19th November a pheasant hunt was held as part of the
European championship in retrieving injured and dead animals by retriever dogs in Würmla NÖ.
To this end, pheasants were stuffed into boxes spread about in the fields, to be released in front of the hunters’ guns.

A marten and a fox are the victims of the hunt in Böheimkirchen.
Their ‘crime’ was that they compete with the hunters for the pheasants. .
